Soccer
I have played soccer since I was 5 years old up to varsity at my high school. I have often played year round on multiple teams in the same season, primarily as goalkeeper. I have been on four championship winning teams including the first team in the school's history to win the varsity MIAA Central Mass Championship for our division.
Goalkeeper is a very specialized position, it is high-pressure because almost every action is critical, it provides a great view of the field to help guide the defense, and I like to extend that communication path to keep the team together, and their spirit and energy up.

Writing and Illustration
When I need a cool-down from all of the STEM-heavy work, I often turn to one of my more creative-centric outlets. While it, of course, has its career-applications of effective communication and softer skills, it's always good to flex the creative muscles.
Adventuring
I find comfort being outdoors and I will often be hiking with my dog, skiing with my family and friends, swimming, or riding my bike. I particularly like challenging myself with a new pursuit, though. For example - a flying lesson where I flew a Cessna light aircraft over Chatsworth in England was a combination of thrilling and nerve wracking, the view when ziplining across the Parc de la Chute in Canada was stunning, and being the first group of the season to make it through the more complex caving route underneath the limestone peaks was a physical challenge. Each experience has been different and thoroughly enjoyable.
